Returning for its third year at the Leeton Museum and Art Gallery, A Common Thread showcases fibre and textile-based works. Showing from 22 February to 5 April, this much-loved annual exhibition brings together 12 local and regional artists from Leeton, Narrandera, and the Riverina, with each artist connected to at least one other exhibitor.
The official opening will occur on Saturday, 15 March, with Mayor George Weston commencing proceedings at 5:00 pm.
Widely respected artist Wanita Lowe is fresh from international recognition in 2024 when she and her daughter, Nikoa Brennan, exhibited their work at IDAIA Gallerie in Paris. Also returning is Natalie Power, whose recent career highlights include her residency as the Artist-in-Residence for New South Wales (AIRNSW2023). This marks Natalie’s fourth consecutive appearance at LMAG—a testament to the calibre of talent connected to the Leeton creative community.
