Southern Cotton is an independently owned ginning facility located next door to Whitton Malt House. On the 45 minute tour, visitors are able to watch each stage of the ginning process and learn about the local cotton industry first-hand in a safe environment on specially built observation walkways.
Tours are available Monday to Friday at 11.00am (only) during the ginning season, which generally runs from May to September.
Tours are also available Monday to Friday at 11.00am (only) during maintenance season, which is approximately October to April.
Cost is $10.00 per person. Group bookings require minimum of 10 people.
Bookings are essential and can be made via email. Coaches are welcome. Closed shoes are required.
