Internationally recognised by Ramsar, the Fivebough Wetlands in Leeton is home to a range of birdlife, including, depending on the time of year, migratory species. Keep your eyes peeled for rare and threatened species like the Australian painted snipe, glossy ibis, magpie goose and freckled duck. Located just three kilometres from Leeton’s main street, walk or cycle the woodland and wetland tracks to birdwatch from the viewing shelters or pack a lunch to enjoy at Budyaan Baamirra Picnic Area.
